Who Am I?

G'day! My name is Matthew. I live in Sydney, Australia, where the weather is beautiful and the coffee is always better than whatever you're drinking. I am a Christian, husband to Christina, father of three (Hope, Eliora, and Phoebe), and also an engineer. I am always busy, but I make time to write whenever I can. I enjoy writing for many reasons, but the one that has pushed me to refine my craft more than any other has been the fact that others seem to enjoy reading what I've written. There is nothing quite like observing someone's face when they finish a chapter, only to have them attempt to strangle me for leaving them on a cliff-hanger.

I like to apply the technical strategies I've learned as an engineer to the art of writing, which I think makes for a rather unique writing style—one that has both an ordered structure, as well as a creative and out of the box plot line. I often think that more engineers should explore the art of writing, since creative problem solving is both a core aspect of engineering as well as being a critical requirement for a well written novel.
